Dưới đây là một số thủ thuật tăng tốc XP mà LL sưu tầm từ VNpcTech.Thank VF & leo493 vì các bài viết bổ ích này !
1.Được đăng trên Futuremark Forum bởi "jfitzw" !
Theo như lời tác giả thì chỉ nửa vạch load là đã vào win với hệ thống trung bình, nhanh hơn nhiều so với bootvis
Cách làm như sau:
start > run > type regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > Current control set > Control > Session Manager > Memory Management > Prefetch Parameters. đổi giá trị EnablePrefetcher từ 3 thành 5. Sau đó khởi động lại và xem kết quả!
2.Vào Run --> type regedit và bạn có thể tiến hành :: ví dụ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE : đây là một khoá của Registry bạn sẽ nhìn thấy ở cột bên trái của cửa sổ Registry Editor : sau đó ấn vào dấu "+" để tìm các khóa con.
++ Mở rộng bộ đệm của HDD (tuỳ dung lượng RAM bạn đang sử dụng)

++Xoá Pagefile (các file bạn sử dụng được lưu trên ổ cứng) khi shutdown.

và thêm biến DWORD: ClearPageFileAtShutdown = dword:00000001 (chọn Edit (ở trên thanh công cụ) / New / DWORD)

Có thể bạn sẽ không tìm thấy các biến DWORD ví dụ: ClearPageFileAtShutdown ở khung bên phải của cửa sổ Registry bạn có thể làm theo cách : right-click tại đó sau đó chọn NEW -> DWORD -> Nhập

ClearPageFileAtShutdown thay cho New Value #1 -> sau đó double-click vào subkey vừa tạo ra để hiện ra cửa sổ Edit DWORD Value -> nhập 00000001 vào box Value Data -> mục Base chọn Hexadecimal -> OK

hoặc bạn làm theo cách sau
Control Panel -> Administartive Tools -> Security policy -> local policies -> security options :: rồi chọn Enable cho " Shutdown: Clear Virtual Memory Pagefile "

++Xoá Share Documents trong MyComputer (nếu bạn thấy thư mục Share Documents chả phục vụ lợi ích gì mà bạn vẫn phải chịu do M$)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ My Computer \ NameSpace \ DelegateFolders]

Bạn sẽ nhìn thấy sub-key { 59031 a47 - 3 f72 - 44 a7 - 89 c5 - 5595 fe6b30ee }. Nếu bạn xoá key này folder Shared Documents (mà bình thường núp dưới cái tên “Other Files Stored o­n This Computer")

++ Cải thiện tốc độ duyệt WEB (bằng cách mở rộng cache DNS cho XP)
